With its curved lines, arcs and circles the bubble lounge chair conveys a feeling of whimsy and playfulness. Made from 198 layers of corrogated cardboard the chair is strong enough to support an adult.

Modern and sustainable design can at times seem cold and uninviting. My goal was to create a chair that was the opposite. I wanted a modern design that felt relaxed and fun. I wanted the viewer’s childlike curiosity to be sparked making them want to have a seat.
My inspiration for this project was memories of childhood, lazy saturday afternoons watching cartoons and playing outside.  Mind mapping is a technique I learned in school that allows for the organization of my creative thoughts or images in my mind.
